New "Street Party" Debuting At Magic Kingdom This Fall!

"Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It!" Street Party

Are you a fan of the "Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It!" Street Party at the Magic Kingdom? That's the "parade" that stops around the Hub in front of Cinderella Castle, allowing for guests to come out into the street and dance with their favorite characters. We absolutely love it in my family! You know it's coming down the street when you hear that singing start: "Hey! Get up! Get loud! Start pumping up the party now!" And it ends with one of my daughter's favorite moments: Mickey shaped confetti bursting out of the floats and landing in the street for her to grab to take home. This fall, some changes will be coming to the event, prompting a name change as well. Though there is no specific date assigned just yet, the Street Party will be changing from "Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It!" to "Move it! Shake it! Dance and Play it!" You can expect some new characters to be involved in the Party, including Stitch as well as Phineas & Ferb. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy will also be getting involved, appearing high atop giant gift boxes. They'll lead guests in a medley of remixed classic party songs, giving you the chance to... well... Move it, Shake it, and Dance it. The Party caps off with guests voting for one of there current hits to listen and dance to for the final, "Play it!" part of the performance. Just like the current version, the "Move it! Shake it! Dance and Play it!" Street Party will take place several times each day at the Magic Kingdom. Until the new version debuts, the classic "Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It!" Street Party will continue to be available!
