"Tangled: The Musical" Coming to Disney Cruise Line

Beginning November 2015, Rapunzel and Eugene (the former ruffian, Flynn Ryder, turned Disney Prince) will be starring in their own show aboard the Disney Cruise Line ship, the Disney Magic. Dubbed, "Tangled: The Musical," this will mark the first time that Disney's story of Rapunzel has been adapted for the staged with "lavish production numbers and spellbinding music." And this isn't just the music that you know and love from the original movie, Tangled. Academy Award-winning composer, and Disney all-star, Alan Menken has composed 3 new songs, along with Grammy-Award-wining lyricist, Glenn Slater! Here's what Disney has to say about their new production:

Featuring elaborate costumes, groundbreaking puppetry and stunning set designs, the show will stay true to the storyline from the hit film - with a few special twists to creat a live staged production.

My kids love the Disney characters and they love live shows, so this is the perfect fit for us. In fact, we recently saw Disney's Aladdin on Broadway so, to put a show of that caliber on one of their cruises... It really doesn't get any more amazing than that! And, "Tangled: The Musical" is not, by far, the only stage production that Guests aboard the Disney Magic will be able to enjoy. The ship will continue to feature "Twice Charmed: An Original Twist of the Cinderella Story" and "Disney Dreams... An Enchanted Classic," will wis preparing to add a new, Frozen segment this summer.

"Tangled: The Musical" will premiere during the Disney Magic's November 11, 2015 4-Night Bahamian Cruise and will continue to show on 4-Night Bahamian Cruises and 5-Night Western Caribbean Cruises departing from Miami thereafter!
