I know that we all have our own cell phones and other assorted mobile devices with all sorts of bells and buzzers on them and, so, who really needs to use a hotel's wake-up service anymore? When I'm on a Disney Vacation, though, I'm happy to leave my iPhone on "silent," because I am clicking that little button on the in-room telephone of my Walt Disney World Resort hotel and typing in the time that I would like to be woken up the following morning. That because, at Disney World, it's not a bell, a buzz, or even a Cast Member calling from the concierge desk to wish me a good morning... it's a Disney character! Over the years, I've been woken up by Mike Wazowski (
Monsters, Inc.), Stitch (
Lilo & Stitch), and the big boss himself, Mickey Mouse. It's perfect to giving someone like me, who might not be a morning person, per se, that little bit of extra Disney Magic to get up and moving for the day!
