Be A VIP (Villainous Important Person?) At Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Meeting the Evil Queen from
"Snow White" at last year's party.
Disney has just announced their latest VIP event, and it's going to be taking place during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The VIP events have become extremely popular over the past year, giving guests the opportunity to experience special parties, snacks, experiences, and viewing locations. Beginning Monday, September 1, 2014, you'll be able to make your reservations for "Villains' Sinister Soiree: A Wicked Takeover of Cinderella Castle."

After everyone else goes to bed (technically, at 10:15pm) Lady Tremaine will be taking over the Cinderella's Royal Table dining area in Cinderella Castle, inviting some of her most evil friends (perhaps the Evil Queen, Maleficent, Cruella de Vil, and/or Dr. Facilier according to the Disney) to join her. For 45 of the most villainous minutes at the Walt Disney World Resort, you will be subjected to erie piano music, with Lady Tremaine, herself, singing a few haunting solos, a meet and greet opportunity that is to die for and, of course, there will be delicious food to snack on, all inspired by the Villains themselves.  Finally, as they leave the Dessert Soiree, each guest will receive an autograph card and a souvenir Maleficent dragon cup.

In addition to the party, your VIP treatment also includes preferred seating for Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloweenn Parade at 8:15pm. From Disney: "Watch the Headless Horseman lead off the parade on a hair-raising ride, followed by a collection of frightful floats and some of your favorite Disney Characters in Halloween costumes.

Plus, you'll be enjoying preferred viewing for the HalloWishes Fireworks Spectacular. "The Ghost Host from the Haunted Mansion and some of the most notorious Disney Villains light up the sky to wicked remixes of their favorite songs."

The cost for this event is $99 plus tax for ages 3 and older (gratuity is already included in the price). It is important to note that admission to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is required to be able to attend this VIP event. When I first heard about this package, I have to admit that I was thinking, "Why would I want to attend a VIP event that pulls me away from the Halloween Party that I actually bought tickets for?" And  then it occurred to me that I won't be getting pulled away from anything! How much early would I have begun searching for a good spot to claim to see the parade and to see the fireworks? I would find my perfect viewing location and then hang out there, waiting for the entrainment to begin. That would easily eat up 45 minutes of my night, if not more! But now, if I'm a VIP, I can spend those 45 minutes in a fabulous evil soiree, instead of sitting on a curb, only to have my parade and fireworks spots waiting for me!

Tickets for the soiree are very limited and can only be purchased by calling 407-939-5262.
