Disney World Resort Now Offers Direct-To-Room Check-In!

Here's some exciting news that Disney has been working on for us - Direct-to-Room Check-In. No longer will Guests need to make the front desk of their Resort Hotel their first stop, upon arriving at the Walt Disney World Resort. Once Guests have completed the necessary steps, they will receive an email or text letting them know their room number. Then, once they arrive at the Resort, they'll be greeted by a Cast Member who will direct them either to the front desk, for a standard check-in, or their room, if they so choose (once it's available, of course - usually after 3pm, though sometimes earlier). All that we have to do to be eligible for this service is:

• Customize our MagicBands and opt for them to be shipped to our home
• Complete the Online Check-In Process
• Our reservation has to be paid in full or a credit card and PIN must be on file
• Choose a preferred method of communication (text or email)

The phasing in of this new system has already begun and is expected to be in effect for all of the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels by mid-March. You will know if you're hotel is eligible for your upcoming vacation if you receive an email from Disney. It's as simple as that!
