Free Dining At Disney This Fall!

Well, they've done it again - Walt Disney World is offering Vacation Packages that include one of two Disney Dining Plans for free! If you stay at a Value Resort, you get the Quick-Service Plan (2 quick-service meals & 1 snack per person/pkg. night). If you stay at a Moderate, Deluxe, or Deluxe Villa, you get the Disney Dining Plan (1 quick-service meal, 1 table-service meal, & 1 snack per person/pkg. night). Of course, if you stay at a Value Resort, you can always upgrade from the Quick-Service Plan to the Dining Plan, if you're looking forward to enjoying some amazing Table Service experiences, as well!

There is one pretty noticeable change to the offer, this year: In order for your package to be eligible for this discount, it must include either the Park Hopper or the Water Parks Fun & More option on the Park Tickets. The Park Hopper allows guests to visit as many of the 4 Disney Theme Parks as they would like each day. The Water Parks option includes admission to either of the 2 Disney Water Parks, DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Amusement Park and more.

And, there are some restrictions as far as which Disney Resort Hotels are part of this new offer. New Allergy Friendly Menus Ready To Debut At Disney Parks

If you or a member of your family has a food allergy, you probably already know how amazingly accommodating both Walt Disney World and Disneyland already are in terms of making sure you are safe, happy, and healthy when it comes to your food choices.  But beginning April 14, 2015, eating at the Disney Parks is about to get even more convenient! That's because Disney will be introducing new allergy-friendly menus across their parks, at about 120 quick-service and table-service locations! This concept was initially tested last fall, and is now ready to go full scale! Here's what Disney Parks and Resorts chef and culinary dietary specialist has to say about it:

"Over the years, the number of guests with food allergies and intolerances has continued to grow. In 2013 alone, our cast members assisted with more than 650,000 special dietary requests. These new allergy menus are another way in which we can provide high-quality, safe and more accessible alternatives, and the best possible dining experience for guests with specific dietary needs."

"The new allergy-friendly menus provide allergen content for each menu item, making informed choices easier. Menu selection includes appetizers (where applicable), entrées, side items, desserts and kids'  meals  and focuses on the most common allergens: gluten/wheat, milk, peanut, tree nut and fish.

"Guests are still able to consult directly with a restaurant chef or special diets trained cast member. We also encourage guests to continue to communicate special dietary needs to our restaurant cast members, as this allows our culinary team to take extra measures during preparation to prevent the introduction of the allergen.

"Walt Disney Parks and Resorts is the recipient of a FARE (Food Allergy Research and Education) Award for dedication to providing a safe and enjoyable dining experience for vacationing families and our chefs have been recognized for their commitment to food allergy awareness, education and management."

What To Expect At A Disney World Resort Hotel

Disney's All-Star Movies Resort

You have your trip to Disney World all booked and ready to go. And, you aren't just going to the parks; You are going to be staying "on property." But, what's the big deal about actually staying at one of the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels, right there on the Disney property?

How about swimming and recreation? At each and every Disney Resort Hotel, you'll find multiple themed pools, water play areas perfect for even the youngest of guests, and playgrounds. There is also plenty of fun and games when Disney Resort Cast Members lead group games live Trivia, Bingo, and many more! At night, enjoy nightly Movies Under the Stars. Those are just some examples of the many fun, complimentary experiences that you'll find available at your Resort Hotel.

Disney World Resort Now Offers Direct-To-Room Check-In!

Here's some exciting news that Disney has been working on for us - Direct-to-Room Check-In. No longer will Guests need to make the front desk of their Resort Hotel their first stop, upon arriving at the Walt Disney World Resort. Once Guests have completed the necessary steps, they will receive an email or text letting them know their room number. Then, once they arrive at the Resort, they'll be greeted by a Cast Member who will direct them either to the front desk, for a standard check-in, or their room, if they so choose (once it's available, of course - usually after 3pm, though sometimes earlier). All that we have to do to be eligible for this service is:

• Customize our MagicBands and opt for them to be shipped to our home
• Complete the Online Check-In Process
• Our reservation has to be paid in full or a credit card and PIN must be on file
• Choose a preferred method of communication (text or email)

The phasing in of this new system has already begun and is expected to be in effect for all of the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels by mid-March. You will know if you're hotel is eligible for your upcoming vacation if you receive an email from Disney. It's as simple as that!
