Disney Egg-stravaganza Is Back!

If you like the idea of hunting for Easter Eggs, themed to Disney Characters, then you're going to love this news: Disney's Egg-stravaganza is returning to the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort this year, from March 27-April 5, 2015.

For $4.95, guests to Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and Epcot can purchase Egg-stravaganza maps and stickers. Here are the specific locations where you'll be able to find them:
• Disney California Adventure Park: Disney Jr. Kiosk, Elias & Co., Oswald's, Radiator Speings Curios, and Treasures in Paradise
• Disneyland Park: Disneyana, Disney Showcase, Fairy Tale Treasures, Little Green Men Store Command, Pieces of Eight, Pioneer Mercantile, and Stromboli's
• Epcot: Heritage Manor Gifts (American Adventure Pavilion), Pin Central, Plaza Towers (Port of Entry), and World Traveler (International Gateway)
Then, go hunting for eggs, placing a sticker on each corresponding spot on the map that you find them. When it's all said and done, return your map to the appropriate redemption location - Elia & Co. at Disney California Adventure Park, Disney Showcase in Disneyland Park, or Port of Entry in Epcot - by April 30, 2015 to receive your surprise!

The Mad T Party Returns To California Adventure

Disney California Adventure's "Mad T Party"
When Disneyland Resort's Diamond Celebration begins, on May 22, 2015, the Mad T Party will make its grand return as well! The Mad T Party, for those who haven't had the chance to go down the rabbit hole, is a nighttime dance extravaganza that took place at California Adventure Park, beginning in mid-2014 and lasting until the end of 2014. It was, and will be again, based on Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland." Staring lead singers, Alice and The Mad Hatter, the Mad T Party features a live band and resembles a club-like atmosphere. Disney also promises "new, dazzling experiences," with the show's upcoming revival.

Oswald The Lucky Rabbit Is Coming To The Disneyland Resort!

Have you heard of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit? Oswald hit the animation scene back in 1927, predating even Mickey Mouse. From the time of his inception until 1928, Walt Disney actually produced 26 individual Oswald the Lucky Rabbit animated shorts, before he left the studio that he worked for and the rights to Oswald, behind. It was then that Walt took a look at Oswald, rounded his ears, and gave him a more... mouse-like appearance, thus creating Mickey Mouse.

The Walt Disney Company got the rights to Oswald back in 2006, in exchange for allowing sports broadcaster, Al Michaels, who was under contract with Disney at the time, to leave the company and go work for NBC Universal. Then, earlier this year, Oswald made his first Disney Parks appearance, at Tokyo DisneySea.

So, the point of my story is that Oswald is now coming to Disney California Adventure Park at the Disneyland Resort! Beginning September 14, 2014, you'll be able to find him to meet, chat with, and take pictures, on Buena Vista Street.

Hope you enjoyed the short history lesson and have a great time meeting Walt's "first" Mickey Mouse!

Meet Anna & Elsa From Disney's Frozen

Here's some cool news... or should I say cold, or even Frozen? Beginning in early November and lasting through, at least, early January, the stars of Disney's upcoming theatrical release, Frozen, will be available to meet with Guests at both the Disneyland Resort in California as well as the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

At Disneyland, Elsa and Anna will be ready to meet their eager fans in a newly designed, snow-capped section of Fantasyland designed by their pal, Olaf the Snowman. Also on the West Coast, look for the re-imagined World of Color - Winter Dreams, hosted by... who else? Olaf.

In Disney World, the royal sisters will be chatting with Guests, taking pictures, and signing autographs at Epcot, in the Norway Pavilion, along with a beautiful new exhibit, exploring how the beauty of Norway influenced the creators of Disney's Frozen. And, in the evenings, the Magic Kingdom will play host to an updated Celebrate the Magic projection show at Cinderella Castle, featuring an all new Frozen sequence.

New 'World of Color' For the Holiday Season!

The Disney Parks are absolutely breathtaking around the winter holidays. Well, here is another amazing Holiday Season addition coming to the Disneyland Resort: "World of Color - Winter Dreams." This, all new version of the ever-popular Word of Color show at Disney California Adventure Park will begin showing to guests on November 15 and will continue throughout the holiday season. Here's what Disney had to say about it:
Hosted by Olaf the snowman, from the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures animated feature "Frozen," the "World of Color - Winter Dreams" show combines new animation with classic winter scenes from such beloved Disney films as "Bambi," "Fantasia" and "Toy Story." The show will include new special effects and present some new methods for utilizing the massive "stage" of water, color and light on which "World of Color" is presented.

World of Color Viewing Tips

Heading to Disneyland? There are going to be so many fun adventures that you embark on throughout your vacation and so many amazing things that you will see! One, in particular, that you don't want to miss is World of Color. The World of Color show, actually at Disney's California Adventure park, is one of the most talked about things to do on the west coast. Now, thanks to the amazing folks at Disney, I can pass along some Straight-From-The-Mouse-Himself viewing tips:

  • FASTPASS is king! The Disneyland Resort FASTPASS will guarantee you a seat at the show, without worrying about getting in line early. Just head over to Paradise Park at your convenience - the FASTPASS itself will give you an good idea as to the timeframe. Those passes can be picked up outside Grizzly River Run in the Golden State area of the park. If you're staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel, you're in even better shape! You can take advantage of that Extra Magic Hour to get to the park early and grab passes for your family a full hour before the park opens to guests!
  • Another way to guarantee your spot at World of Color, without worrying about the lines, is to make a World or Color Dining reservation. Not only does this get you into a reserved viewing area for the show, but you get a great meal out of it, as well! There are several fantastic restaurant options for this dining - Wine Country Trattoria or Carthay Circle Restaurant for either lunch of dinner or Ariel's Grotto for dinner only.
  • Enough about how to get in, let's talk about making the show even more magical. Consider picking up some "Glow With The Show" Ears! These can be found at many shops throughout the Resort. And, get this - they're not just your run of the mill, battery powered, flashing mouse ears... that sounded weird... these actually do glow with the show - the ears flash and chance colors in response to what colors and scenes your are watching during the World of Color show itself. And make sure to pick these up early on in your trip, because they also interact with many other shows and attractions at Disneyland and California Adventure, making you a real part of the show! The Mad T Party, Flo's in Cars Land, and many more!
